Is Macau Worth The Move? 我該回流澳門嗎?

I'm a native from Macau. My mom currently lives in Macau and she is getting old.  I am thinking of moving to Macau so I can be near her.  I had left Macau years ago and I haven't been back.  I learnt from the media that Macau had changed a lot since I moved.  Do you think it's worth for me to go back?  I'm an American CPA, CGMA & CFE.  I once worked in one of the Big Four accounting firms. I speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluently. I can write Chinese very fluently also. Can anyone out there tell me what my career option will be if I am to move to Macau?  If you are an expat living and working in Macau, I would like to connect with you for more current information regarding my native city, like where to live, where to find a job, where to get healthcare, and how do I renew my long expired Macau ID card?  I read on some online forums that without a connection, it's almost impossible to find a job in Macau, is that true?

How To Choose A Financial Planner in Macau? 如何在澳門選擇財務策劃師?

My inspiration to write this post came from my mother who lives in Macau.  As Macau's economy prospers, there is an increase in  opportunities for the finance industry to set up retail shops in Macau to offer a wide array of financial products, from health insurance, retirement annuities, mutual funds to all kinds of investment vehicles that cater to the Macau citizens' need to invest their idle cash. Travel Insurance Is Good For International Travel 旅行保險該在什麼情況下值得買?

As an accountant, I'm somewhat risk adverse.  I just don't dare to travel outside the USA for weeks without insuring my trip.  I personally think travel insurance is worth for the peace of my mind when I prepaid for the plane tickets and hotels for thousands of dollars.  Even though I am visiting my hometown Macau, I will feel jittery if I go there without travel insurance.  My trip back home costs me thousands of USD, so to me, paying $254 (for a 2-weeks trip, without the Flight Guard and Car Rental Collision Coverage because I don't need to drive in Macau) to protect my loss against unexpected trip cancellation and interruption, isn't making my trip that noticeably more expensive.   I however never bought travel insurance when my trip cost under US$5,000.  It's because I'm tolerant to insignificant loss of money and at my tolerance level, anything that is under US$5,000 isn't worth my worrying about it.  I also didn't buy travel insurance ...
